The National Law Enforcement & Firefighters Children’s Foundation DBA First Responders Children’s Foundation (“1stRCF” or “we”) created this Privacy Policy to explain why we collect particular information and how we will protect your personal privacy within our web site.  The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for the web site located at 1stRCF.org (the “Site”).

1stRCF reserves the right at any time and without notice to change this Privacy Policy simply by posting such changes on the Site.  Please check the Privacy Policy periodically for changes.  At the end of the Privacy Policy, we indicate the date of an update to the Privacy Policy. How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit, or access your personal information.

We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.  After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

Any employee who violates our privacy and/or security policies is subject to disciplinary action, including possible termination and civil and/or criminal prosecution.  Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.  While we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of such information.

Do we use cookies?

Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.
