Melinda Sánchez Donio has over 15 years of community development, non-profit board, and program management experience. She is the Program Manager for the Council of Urban Professionals, supporting the next generation of diverse business and civic leaders.
Prior to this role, Melinda was appointed by the White House in 2015 to serve as Special Assistant to the Regional Administrator for the U.S. General Services Administration’s (GSA) Mid-Atlantic Regional office in Philadelphia, PA. GSA serves as the business arm of the federal government.
Melinda is an alumna from the University of Pennsylvania earning a BA in Urban & Environmental Studies and an MA in City and Regional Planning. Her strong faith, love of the creative and performing arts, as well as community, has led her to work with several organizations and churches that foster organizational and leadership development, including Esperanza, Inc., one of the largest Hispanic Faith-Based Evangelical networks in the United States.
Melinda is a native of southern New Jersey, but she and her husband David recently moved to Union County, New Jersey and is happy to call the New York City Metropolitan area home.
