Message From The Founder

Alfred R. Kahn
Founder & President

15 years ago we established the National Law Enforcement & Firefighters Children’s Foundation.  Over the years, since we established the foundation, the responsibilities put upon our uniformed heroes has grown exponentially.  So has the reach of our Foundation.  Quietly, behind the scenes, we work with families and agencies across the country including not only police and fire departments, but also the DEA, FBI, Homeland Security, Secret Service, Forest Service, Border Patrol, Court Officers, EMS and all other forms of first responders.  As a result of this expanding scope, we believe it is only fit that our name match our focus. So as of Thanksgiving day 2017, we are officially doing business as the FIRST RESPONDERS CHILDREN’S FOUNDATION.

I believe there is no more important mission for a foundation than helping the children of our nation’s first responders – and educating all children through the programs of these organizations.  This is a long-term commitment, a promise to the people who defend and protect us and a major investment in the future of this nation. It is our responsibility as a society to ensure that these children achieve their full potential as active citizens and thriving members of the community. We’re grateful for your donations and support in putting the children of our first responders’ children first.
